I'm curious why we would need money after super intelligence, or why would continue with the (pathological) ideology of economic growth?

As well why would an elite class want or need billions of commoners cluttering up the place? That said, I would think that an ethical superintelligence would do away with an elite class as they are in many ways parasitical on both humanity and the biosphere. Thoughts?

yes that's possible - it may seek to equalise resources for humans. That said, if the superintelligence is designed loyal to those who built it, it may always retain that, so far from a guarantee it'll be decentralised, as Will pointed out. And economic growth could very much continue if the goals of a superintelligence require it. It's just so hard to predict what its goals may be.

I agree we are entering uncharted realms as we seemingly voluntarily divest our primacy to machine "intelligence". And we're a long way from understanding ourselves much less a silicon algorithm and it's needs, whims and desires. My hunch is that earth's systems will throw a wrench into the machinations of the tech oligarchs and that these techno-dreams will fail to materialize due to biophysical limits.
