It’s not often you get to meet, let alone interview, someone who has lived most of their life outside of modern society.
It’s even rarer to find someone whose specialty is cultivating wisdom itself.
So when Txana Tuwe (an elder of the Huni Kuin tribe from the Brazilian Amazon rainforest) came to Austin, I had to invite him to the Win-Win studio.
We discuss his life in the Amazon, his thoughts on modern technology like AI, as well his people’s “ancient technologies” (plant medicines like ayahuasca) that much of the world remains unaware of. We also hear his thoughts on competition, the strange world of shamanic battles, preventing deforestation, and much more.
As you’ll see, we speak very different languages, which meant we had to (aptly) rely on AI to help us.. (we also had a human translator there to help too).
